Hisense has begun shipping its PX4 Pro 4K Triple Laser Home Theater ultra short throw (UST) projector, expanding its premium home theater lineup with a model that combines RGB laser projection, gaming features and integrated audio.
Priced at $3,999.99 MSRP, the PX4 Pro uses the company’s TriChroma RGB laser engine and is designed to project images ranging from 80 to 200 inches from a short distance, making it suitable for living room installations where traditional long-throw projectors may not be practical.
“TriChroma RGB was where Hisense first proved the power of RGB color in the home, showing how pure red, green, and blue light could create a richer, more precise viewing experience,” said David Gold, Chief Commercial Officer and Deputy General Manager at Hisense USA. “With PX4 Pro, we’re continuing that legacy, bringing our color-first innovation to a flexible ultra short-throw cinema designed for today’s home entertainment experiences.”
According to Hisense, the projector covers up to 118% of the BT.2020 color space using its LPU Digital Laser Engine 3.0, which employs separate red, green and blue lasers. The company also rates the projector at 3,500 ANSI lumens and a 6,500:1 contrast ratio with a seven-level adjustable iris intended to improve shadow detail and overall image contrast.
The PX4 Pro supports several premium video and audio formats, including IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Audio is tuned by Devialet, while the projector runs the company’s VIDAA smart TV platform for access to streaming services and connected entertainment.
Gaming is another focus for the new model. Hisense said the PX4 Pro is the first ultra-short-throw laser projector to receive FreeSync Premium certification, a feature designed to reduce screen tearing and improve responsiveness when connected to compatible gaming PCs and consoles.
The growing UST projector category has become increasingly competitive as manufacturers target consumers looking for large-screen alternatives to televisions without requiring ceiling-mounted projectors. Features such as high brightness, RGB laser light engines, and integrated smart TV platforms have become key differentiators in the premium segment.
The Hisense PX4 Pro is available through Hisense’s online store, Amazon, and Best Buy for $3,999.99.
