Hisense has introduced the Convertible TouchStep Pedal Upright Freezer, a 17-cu.-ft. appliance that switches between freezer and refrigerator modes and is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 110°F.
The model includes a TouchStep foot pedal for hands-free door opening, making it easier to access stored food while carrying groceries or other items. Built-in alarms alert users when the door is left open or temperatures rise, helping protect stored food.
“From holiday hosting to game-day stock-ups, families need storage that works as hard as they do,” said David Gold, President of Hisense Americas and Hisense USA. “Our new Convertible TouchStep™ Pedal Upright Freezer gives them two appliances in one, with thoughtful innovations like hands-free access and garage-ready performance, so extra space is always ready for whatever the season brings.”
The unit features adjustable glass shelves, a transparent storage drawer and LED lighting. An electronic touch control panel on the door lets users adjust temperatures, while Hisense’s ConnectLife app lets you monitor and control temperatures remotely.
Additional features include Fast Freeze, which rapidly lowers the temperature to help preserve food, and Total No Frost technology, which circulates cold air to prevent frost buildup and eliminate manual defrosting.
The ENERGY STAR-certified appliance features a flat-door design that fits in garages, basements, and other areas where you need extra food storage.
The Hisense Convertible TouchStep Pedal Upright Freezer (model FU171N3SSEL) is available exclusively through Lowe’s stores and online for $1,049. Hisense includes a two-year full warranty and a five-year sealed-system protection plan.
