ULTRALOQ has launched three smart locks that add ultra-wideband (UWB) hands-free entry and digital-wallet credentials to its lineup.
The new collection includes the ULTRALOQ Bolt Mission, Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro. All three models are Matter Certified and compatible with smart home platforms including Apple Home and Google Home. Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro also work with Samsung SmartThings.
The $299.99 Bolt Mission is billed as the company’s first UWB-enabled smart lock. It combines Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), UWB ranging, radar-based presence sensing and local decision logic to determine when an authorized user is approaching the door. The lock can then unlock without requiring the user to open an app or enter a PIN.
The $269.99 Bolt Pro is an Aliro-Certified deadbolt that supports digital keys through Apple Wallet or Samsung Wallet. Users can also access the lock with a fingerprint, PIN, app or physical key.
The $249.99 Latch 5 Pro brings Aliro-based wallet access to doors that use a lever rather than a deadbolt, including side entrances, home offices, garage-entry doors, rentals and shared spaces. It also supports fingerprint and PIN access.
“The front door is moving away from keys and apps toward digital credentials and intent-aware access,” said Raj Sundar, Senior Director of Product Management for ULTRALOQ. “Our goal with this collection is to make that transition seamless and practical for customers, whether someone wants their door to detect their arrival and unlock hands-free or wants to quickly tap the phone or watch they carry every day to authorize entry.”
The Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro can also trigger SmartThings automations based on lock activity, such as turning on lights or adjusting a thermostat when the door is unlocked. Household members can receive individual Digital Keys in Samsung Wallet.
The new locks are available through ULTRALOQ and Amazon, with online availability through The Home Depot beginning in October.
