SMEG USA has introduced a new collection of multifunction warming drawers designed for built-in kitchen installations, adding food preparation capabilities beyond traditional plate and dish warming.
The Italian-made drawers feature temperature controls ranging from 86°F to 185°F and presets for dough proofing, low-temperature cooking, food dehydration, yogurt fermentation and defrosting. Additional settings accommodate warming cups and plates, making the drawers an option for kitchens with dedicated coffee stations.
“A warming drawer is the unsung hero of a high-performance kitchen,” said Karen Olle, director of marketing at SMEG USA. “Our new line brings professional-level precision into the home, with the versatility to proof dough, slow-cook, keep meals at the ideal temperature, or enhance a dedicated coffee bar. Thoughtful technology makes them easy to use, while SMEG’s signature design allows them to integrate seamlessly into the kitchen.”
The collection features a handleless push-pull opening mechanism and a Digi Touch LED display for temperature adjustments. Buyers can choose stainless steel finishes from SMEG’s Professional Collection, the Neptune Grey finish from its Linea collection, or panel-ready models designed to match surrounding cabinetry.
The drawers are available in 24- and 30-inch widths for installation alongside built-in wall ovens. A Sabbath mode can maintain a temperature of 140°F for up to 80 hours, according to the company.
The new warming drawers are available through authorized SMEG dealers, the company’s online store, and select luxury appliance showrooms nationwide. Suggested pricing ranges from $1,499 to $1,599.
The launch follows a series of additions to SMEG’s major appliance lineup over the past year, including freestanding refrigerators, built-in wall ovens, dishwashers, built-in coffee machines and undercounter wine coolers.
