Since the advent of wall-mounted flat-panel TVs, Walmart has tapped and tested third-party resources from N.E.W. to Dell to provide home installation services for its customers.
Now meet its latest service partner, Handy.
Like Angie’s List and Amazon’s Home Services store, Handy is a nationwide clearinghouse for some 80,000 vetted home pros who can be booked online or, beginning in April, through more than 2,000 Walmart stores.

Pricing starts at $79 for TV mounting, and the partners will also offer furniture assembly for $59 and up. Customers can schedule appointments for 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week, and all work is guaranteed.
“Our program with Handy enables us to eliminate the friction of installation and assembly, and offer customers a convenient, delightful experience from start to finish,” said Daniel Eckert, senior VP, Walmart services and digital acceleration.
Next month’s national rollout follows a 25-store test in Atlanta.
New York-based Handy was founded in 2012 and has already completed millions of bookings for cleaning, assembly, plumbing, electrical, smart-home, home networking and handyman services.
Walmart is the latest addition to Handy’s growing lineup of retail and vendor partners including Wayfair, b8ta and TWICE Picks Award winner Como Audio.
