Skyworth has partnered with Chicago-area manufacturer hydroframes to offer customizable frames for its Canvas and Canvas Elite Art TV models, giving homeowners and custom installers more options to match televisions with interior décor.
Under the agreement, hydroframes will manufacture both wood and molded plastic frames in the U.S. for Skyworth’s Art TV lineup. Standard finishes will include black, white, silver, gold, and walnut, while custom installers will also be able to order frames in custom colors, patterns, and finishes tailored to individual projects.
The partnership marks hydroframes’ first commercial collaboration. The company manufactures the frames at its Chicago-area facility using hydrographic water-transfer printing and CNC fabrication, allowing a wide range of decorative finishes to be applied to wood and plastic surfaces.
Installation is designed to require minimal modification to the television. Wood frames attach to the existing bezel using concealed magnetic fasteners, while molded plastic versions fit directly over the bezel.
The customizable frames are designed for Skyworth’s Canvas and Canvas Elite televisions, which are intended to function as both 4K TVs and digital displays for artwork and personal photography when not in use. The addition of interchangeable frames gives integrators another way to tailor installations to a home’s design while expanding personalization options within the growing Art TV category.
