Philadelphia — Haier America has selected Almo as the exclusive national distributor for its A/V-focused digital products group.
The pact expands the companies’ major appliance relationship to include Haier’s lineup of 24-inch through 65-inch LED TVs.
The new inventory is expected to hit Almo distribution centers in mid-August.
“We are thrilled to take our relationship to the next level by representing its entire digital products group portfolio exclusively in the U.S.,” said Rick Wigen, Almo’s product merchandising VP. “Haier’s CE products are innovative, cutting-edge and environmentally responsible, which fits perfectly into our model.”
Haier’s TVs feature 1080p, 120Hz displays and built-in 2.1 “sound chamber” audio systems, while select models offer ultra-thin frames and MHL ports that accept the Roku Streaming Stick.
Haier America is a wholly owned subsidiary of China’s Haier Group. Almo, a family-held business founded in 1946, operates nine regional distribution facilities with over 1.8 million square feet of warehousing across the country.
