ViewSonic Adds Entertainment Monitors

Walnut, Calif. – ViewSonic launched Friday its VX63Smhl series of gaming and multimedia monitors.

The FullHD 1080p LCD displays feature sleek designs and 22- and 23-inch screen sizes, the company said.

Key features include “frameless” bezel designs, ViewSonic’s SuperClear IPS panel technology, versatile input options and Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) connectivity.

ViewSonic’s 23-inch VX2363Smhl-W ($238 suggested retail) and 22-inch VX2263Smhl-W ($222) will be available starting this month.

The design includes a glossy white finish, and a frameless edge-to-edge glass faceplate and slim bezel beneath the glass.

Both models can be connected to MHL-enabled mobile devices with the integrated MHL port, allowing users to share digital content on a larger screen in Full HD resolution.

Dual HDMI and VGA ports offer a range of connectivity options. ViewSonic includes its SuperClear image-enhancement panel technology to produce a 50,000,000:1 MEGA Dynamic contrast ratio.

Other integrated features include Flicker-Free technology that reduces screen flickering to a minimum at all brightness levels, and a Blue Light Filter that dims the blue light levels to ease potential eye strain.

ViewMode settings offer five preset user options: Text, Game, Movie, Web and Mono.

“The VX2363Smhl-W and VX2263Smhl-W displays are ViewSonic’s next level of multimedia displays,” said Kenneth Mau, ViewSonic senior product marketing manager. “We were conscious of delivering a pair of monitors that users could enjoy on all levels by focusing on excellent screen performance, functionality and comfortable usability. From the variety of connectivity ports to ViewMode settings, we’ve been thorough with the various elements that are part of the VX63Smhl series.”
