DirecTV Ups Out-Of-Home Channel Offerings

El Segundo, Calif. — DirecTV said Tuesday it will this month expand the number of channels available for out-of-home streaming via its DirecTV Everywhere service.

Beginning Nov. 21, DirecTV Everywhere will grow to more than 30 live TV out-of-home (OOH) streaming channels, including HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, The Movie Channel, Starz, Encore, Tennis Channel and Scripps Networks.

The satellite TV provider said it will also now deliver a lineup of 100 live TV in-home streaming channels.

To support the DirecTV Everywhere programming expansion, the company said it will  relaunch its Android tablet app to support both live and on-demand programming across all screen sizes and various operating systems.

At the same time, DirecTV said it is also expanding its on demand content lineup on DirecTV.com. Subscribers will have access to more than 19,000 high-quality streaming titles, at no additional cost, on their computers.
