Nationwide Sponsors Independent We Stand’s America’s Main Streets Contest

Nationwide Marketing Group will sponsor Independent We Stand’s fourth annual America’s Main Streets contest, awarding a $500 shopping spree to the lucky winner.

Independent We Stand (IWS) is an alliance network of indie small-business owners that aim to inspire and celebrate small businesses, while educating consumers about the economic benefits of supporting them. The three-month long contest gives $25,000 in cash and sponsor-related prizes to an eligible organization, which includes downtown improvement districts, business improvement districts, independent business districts, independent business associations, local-first groups and formal main street organizations, said IWS.

To help promote the contest, the IWS team will visit Asheville, N.C.; Nashville and Memphis, Tenn.; and St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo., as part of a “Great American Red, White & Q” tour, where they will eat, sleep and shop local March 4-8. (Yes, that Q is for BBQ.)

Nominations and voting have begun. A winner will be announced June 3.
