Segway has introduced an upgraded version of its MUXI short-tail cargo electric bike with the MUXI Pro. Building on its predecessor, the MUXI Pro adds 9-speed electronic auto-shifting, and a front suspension fork with 70 millimeters of travel and turn signals for visibility.
Like the original, the MUXI Pro is a class-selectable e-bike, but adds Class 3 to its resume thanks to the 9-speed drivetrain allowing a pedal-assisted 28-mph top speed. The low standover height and upright riding position coupled with a low center of gravity make MUXI Pro easy to mount and dismount. Front and rear fenders also now come standard. And a suite of e-bike accessories (available separately) increases functionality, allowing riders to tailor MUXI Pro to their individual style and needs.
A new Passenger Kit ($119.99 – coming soon) that includes a seat, foot pegs and wheel guards designed to accommodate the Pro’s drivetrain can carry a second passenger (up to 120 pounds) for those who want to share the ride. The same Middle Basket ($129.99) and Front Basket ($99.99) available for the original MUXI also fit the Pro, adding additional carrying capacity. MUXI Pro is also compatible with Segway’s Xiro Automatic Dropper Post ($229.99), Rearview Radar ($99.99) and e-Bike Rearview Mirror ($29.99).
Available in two new colorways—Anthracite and Reef Blue—MUXI Pro retails for $1,999.99 MSRP and is available now at authorized Segway dealers and at the Segway storefront.
