The popular smart tech company also announces new shade, ceiling fan and automation partners, and its acquisition by Somfy Group
CRESSKILL, NJ — August 19, 2026 — Bond has an action-packed CEDIA Expo planned for attendees. The newly acquired smart tech brand will show all its smart-control devices in full operation at booth #3900. This includes its Bond Bridge Pro device hub, Mate Pro smart remote control, Breeze Pro outdoor sensor, Sidekick for Shades wireless keypad, and new solutions: the Firefly Bond-native LED strip lighting smart controllers, Shared Access capability for the Bond Home app, and dealer showroom demonstration kit. Dealers will also get a sneak-peek of Bond’s new Ai-powered LED strip lighting feature.
Bond’s new Firefly Aura and Pixel RGBWC LED strip lighting smart controllers
Nominated for the 2026 CEDIA Best New Hardware and CEDIA Daily HOT Product awards, Bond’s Firefly Aura and Firefly Pixel are 12/24VDC in-line, Bond-native smart controllers for RGBWC LED strip lights. With these, users can adjust hue and saturation, choose preset colors, set schedules and more through the Bond Home smartphone app, Sidekick for Shades or Mate Pro. Aura controls one zone of common lights; Pixel controls two zones of addressable lights. Both operate on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and support LED strips up to 100 watts. Each controller also can integrate with home automation systems through the Bond Bridge Pro.
New Ai-powered lighting feature
Attendees will get a sneak peek of Bond’s groundbreaking new AI-powered lighting feature, which enables homeowners to create more personalized and engaging outdoor pergola experiences by customizing LED lighting. Through the Bond Home app and Firefly Pixel or Aura controllers connected to LED strips, users can match the lighting to a season, setting, color, pattern, animation or other desired effect, all by inputting a simple text or voice prompt.
New shared access for the Bond Home app
Bond has introduced multi-user capabilities for the Bond Home app, giving dealers a more secure, convenient way to support customers. Shared Access allows dealers to create a customer’s Bond account on their own smartphone, transfer ownership to the homeowner and retain access as needed for service and support. The feature eliminates password sharing during setup and helps limit unwanted account access. Customers also can manage multiple homes from one account. “Shared Access is officially here,” says Bond CEO Zohar Shinar, adding “This was a long-awaited and requested feature to simplify the process and save time.”
Powered showroom display kit helps dealers win more jobs
Bond is strengthening its dealer partnerships with a live, interactive display kit that lets dealers show homeowners the full lifestyle experience. Dealers can use Bond devices to demonstrate a wide range of scenarios, for example how a pergola looks when illuminated, how its motorized louvers are controlled, and how LED strips can be adjusted to set the mood. The kit includes the Bond Bridge Pro, Sidekick for Shades keypad, Mate Pro smart universal remote, Breeze Pro wind/rain/sunlight sensor, and Firefly Aura and Pixel lighting controllers. “The kit helps dealers win more jobs by giving homeowners a firsthand look at how their pergola can be controlled,” says Shinar.
Bond COO Perry Fox joins Day 1 panel, “Outdoor Spaces, Automated”
“Outdoor Spaces, Automated” is a CEDIA Smart Stage panel designed to help integrators be more effective outdoor living systems. The discussion will cover the outdoor living opportunity, sensors and weather intelligence, radiant heat and season extension, and how integrators can lead project conversations earlier. The panel will be moderated by Mike Conway of Infratech and feature Jennifer Kimble of StruXure, Arthur James Jr. of Progressive Screens and Bond COO Perry Fox. The session takes place Sept. 2 from 2 to 2:45 p.m. on the Smart Stage.
“Outdoor living has become one of the most important growth opportunities for integrators, but it requires a new level of coordination across shading, screens, pergolas, lighting, sensors, climate and control,” said Fox. “Bond helps integrators lead that conversation with simple, scalable control solutions and a growing ecosystem of manufacturer partnerships that make it easier to deliver complete outdoor experiences clients can enjoy year-round.”
