Hisense Readies H8F & H9F ULED Android TVs

Google Assistant built-in, compatible with Alexa

Hisense has begun shipping its H8F 4K Ultra HD Android TVs, featuring built-in Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility, and said the H9F will ship in June.

The TVs, which debuted at CES 2019, include the company’s ULED technology and Hi-View DDS engine to control video processing algorithms for displaying 4K content. The models are the first Hisense TVs to use ULED.

Android TV connects viewers to content from streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu and Sling. Built-in Google Assistant gives users access to voice search, discovery and commands to control compatible audio equipment and Google Home thermostats, lights and appliances.

Alexa compatibility allows Amazon Echo owners to use the Hisense skill to control other smart home products like light bulbs, door locks and other smart home devices.

The premium ULED of the H9F features Quantum Dot for color accuracy in the DCI-P3 color space, and a 120hz native panel. Together, these bring the brightness up to 1,000 nits and up to 132 local dimming zones for greater contrast control.

The Hisense H8F is currently available in 50- ($399), 55- ($499) and 65-inch models ($699), and can be purchased at Best Buy stores and BestBuy.com, as well as on Amazon. When the H9F ships in June, it will be offered in 55- ($699) and 65-inch ($999) sizes.
