TVC Launches Enclosure-Free Outdoor TVs

New outvue lineup features IP66-rated durability, IK10 impact protection, and up to 3,000 nits of brightness for all-day visibility

TVC Technology Solutions has introduced a new line of outdoor displays built to operate without the need for traditional protective enclosures, positioning the range as an alternative to “TV-in-a-box” installations often used in outdoor AV projects.

The new outvue series is designed to address common limitations associated with enclosure-based setups, including reduced brightness, restricted viewing angles, and potential long-term durability issues. According to the company, removing the enclosure layer allows for more consistent image performance and simplifies installation for integrators.

The displays are rated IP66 for water and dust resistance and carry an IK10 rating for impact protection, targeting both residential and commercial environments. Available in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch sizes, each model supports 4K UHD resolution.

Traditional enclosures, while protective, can introduce vulnerabilities over time. Openings required for installation and maintenance may allow moisture or debris to enter, while plastic construction and clear front panels can be prone to scratching, condensation, and discoloration. These factors can affect both durability and picture quality, particularly in high-traffic or exposed environments.

The outvue models instead use an anti-glare-coated tempered glass surface paired with a powder-coated aluminum chassis. TVC says this design supports 170-degree viewing angles and helps maintain brightness levels without the interference of an additional protective layer. Each display includes a standard VESA 400 x 400 mounting pattern and connectivity options such as two HDMI inputs and a USB port for integrating broadcast sources, streaming devices, or local media.

All three models are rated at 3,000 nits of brightness and include an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts output based on surrounding conditions. This is intended to maintain visibility in direct sunlight while reducing energy use in lower-light settings.

From a design standpoint, the slimmer profile aims to better suit higher-end residential and commercial installations, including outdoor living spaces, hospitality venues, and pool areas, where appearance can be a consideration alongside performance.

The outvue outdoor display range is available exclusively through TVC Technology Solutions. Learn more at tvc.uk.com.
