Stanley TV Mounts To Debut This Summer

Los Angeles — OEM supplier Suncraft Solutions today announced a lineup of flat-panel TV mounts under the Stanley brand for the do-it-yourself and consumer markets.

The lineup will consist of 10 models and will begin to roll out in July. The line will accommodate LCD/LED and plasma televisions ranging in size from 26 to 100 inches and weighing up to 220 pounds.

The mounts include click and release security tabs, integrated cable-management systems, and profiles as little as 1 inch from the wall.

The Stanley brand is being licensed from Stanley Black & Decker, based in New Britain, Conn.

The first model to hit the market will be the TLX-350FM mount for LCD/LED televisions that range in size from 32 to 55 inches. It features Easy Move gas shock technology for four-way flexibility of positioning, with tilt  of -20 degrees to 10 degrees, swivel up to 180 degrees, leveling of -3 degrees to 3 degrees and extension from the wall of up to 23 inches.

The suggested retail for the TLX-350FM will be around $200.

It will go on sale in July at select retailers and resellers across the U.S. and also be available at online retailers, to be announced.

Suncraft executive VP and GM Michael Roach told TWICE that distribution of the line will not be limited to traditional CE channels. “The Stanley brand is well-known and trusted in the DIY market, so we are talking to the home improvement and hardware channels, as well as traditional CE, mass merchants and of course, online retailers.” Roach said. “We are also working with several big-name distributors.”

In addition, Roach said, the mounts will be paired with complete installation kits including Stanley tools such as levels and fastening tools.

Other mount models, including full motion, tilt and fixed mount solutions, will be phased into distribution over the next several months, with prices ranging from less than $40 for basic models. The complete line should be available at retail in time for the Q4 holiday shopping season.

“We’re presenting consumers and the DIY market with an opportunity to enhance viewing experience and save time and money on installation while ensuring a safe way to watch their TV when they mount their flat screens on the wall,” said Roach. “We’re also convinced that we’ll be able to help our partners increase the add-on and stand-alone sales for mounting systems and accessories with the trusted Stanley line of products.”

Looking ahead, the company’s road map includes branching out the use of the Stanley name to other CE accessories categories.
