Boost Mobile Expands LG Selection

Irvine, Calif. – No-contract carrier Boost Mobile will expand its selection of LG cellphones with the Oct. 10 launch of the $219 LG Venice Android 4.0 smartphone, said to be the carrier’s thinnest phone to date.

The 3G phone’s depth is about a third of an inch.

With the launch, Boost will offer three LG phones out of a total selection of 16 handsets. The Venice will join the Android 2.3-based 3G Marquee, launched in January and the LG’s Rumor Reflux feature phone, launched in March.

The carrier began offering its first LG phone, the LG102, in the second quarter of 2011 exclusively at Walmart and BoostMobile.com.

Oct, 10 availability will be through wireless retailers that exclusively sell Boost, select independent wireless dealers, and www.boostmobile.com followed in lare October by select national retailers.

 The Venice features Optimus 3.0 interface for improved multitasking, 1GHz processor, 4.3-inch, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 720p video capture, stereo Bluetooth, and  QuickMemo to quickly capture, create and share notes.
