A pre-holiday consumer survey by think tank Fung Global Retail & Technology points to fourth-quarter dominance by Amazon, with 75 percent of respondents expecting to shop the online behemoth for Christmas. The next most popular shopping destinations for holiday were Target and Walmart (cited by 48 percent each), followed by Kohl’s (29 percent), Best Buy (25 percent), Macy’s and T.J. Maxx (20 percent), Costco (18 percent), eBay (17 percent) and JCPenney (16 percent).
We may still be at the tail end of summer, but already a comprehensive survey of US holiday season shopping intentions has been released – and it’s good news for Amazon, in particular.
