LG Electronics has named Chris Hamdorf as the successor to Rick Calacci, Senior Vice President, Home Entertainment Sales, effective immediately.
Calacci is retiring after a long and noteworthy career in the CE industry, most recently serving at LG for the past 12 years.
“Rick has been a great contributor to LG’s success in the U.S. market over the past 12 years, and we wish him all the best in his retirement,” said Heaven Lee, Head of North American Home Entertainment Division in a statement.
“Chris brings significant sales and leadership experience to his new role,” continued Lee, “He has been with LG for over 10 years, serving initially as a Sales Director for Home Appliances, then Sales Director for Home Entertainment and most recently as Vice President for Home Entertainment National Accounts in Home Entertainment. I am confident that, as we transition to new sales leadership, LG will continue to serve your needs and work toward building a great 2020 together.”
Hamdorf holds a Master’s degree in marketing from Northwestern University, and has held key product, sales and management positions at Amana, Maytag, Whirlpool and Sharp, where he called on such national accounts as Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Sears and Target.
