Global Electronics Association Names New CFO

Jason Palmi will take over the role in 2027 following a transition period with current CFO Tom Sandman

Jason Palmi

The Global Electronics Association has named Jason Palmi chief financial officer, effective January 2027, following a planned transition period in which he and current CFO Tom Sandman will serve as co-CFOs through the end of 2026.

Palmi will oversee financial strategy, long-range planning, operational performance and investment decisions for the organization, which supports the global electronics industry through membership, advocacy, standards, research, education and events.

“Jason understands that sound financial leadership is not simply about the numbers, it is about enabling an organization to invest wisely, respond quickly, and deliver greater value for the people it serves,” said John W. Mitchell, Global Electronics Association president and CEO. “His experience at the intersection of finance, operations, manufacturing, and growth will be a tremendous asset as we continue expanding our impact for members and the global electronics ecosystem.”

Palmi most recently served as president, CEO and CFO of Ramcel Precision Stamping and Manufacturing. During his tenure, he helped double the company’s revenue from $28 million to $56 million in three years while expanding capacity, improving operations and diversifying its customer base.

His previous experience includes leading global finance for a $1 billion business unit at ConAgra, developing financial disciplines at Medline and holding senior finance positions at Zurich. His background includes profit-and-loss management, forecasting, pricing, margin strategy and capital governance.

Palmi will work with the Association’s executive leadership team and Board of Directors on financial planning, risk management and operational decision-making across its international operations.

“Global electronics manufacturers are navigating an environment defined by supply chain complexity, investment needs, policy change, and accelerating innovation,” Palmi said. “I am excited to join the Association and work with the team to ensure the organization has the financial insight, operational agility, and long-term discipline needed to advance its mission and create value for members around the world.”

Sandman will remain in an advisory capacity through the first quarter of 2027 before retiring.

“Tom has built a strong financial foundation for the Association, and we are deeply grateful for his leadership and commitment,” Mitchell said. “This planned transition pairs Tom’s institutional knowledge with Jason’s fresh perspective and gives us the continuity needed to move confidently into 2027.”
