Seoul, Korea - LG Display reported a net loss and lower sales for the quarter ended March 31.

In its quarterly report, issued earlier today, LG Display said the net loss was 115.4 billion South Korean won compared with a profit of 648.6 billion won in last year's first quarter.

Sales were 5.37 trillion won for the quarter down from the previous year's 5.88 trillion won.

Weak TV demand and lower panel prices caused the downbeat results in the quarter, but LG Display expects TV prices to remain stable during the second quarter with a rebound in demand.
