Tampa Bay, Fla. — Aamp of America announced it has acquired the assets and certain intellectual property of Precision Interface Electronics (PIE), a manufacturer of automotive OEM integration devices and accessories.
Aamp of America is a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity. Its brands include iSimple, Pacific Accessory Corporation (PAC), Phoenix Gold, Sound Quest, Stinger Electronics and Best Kits & Harnesses.
The acquisition of PIE “is part of a growth and investment strategy launched in early 2009 to expand the company’s global presence as a leader in connected car technologies for the consumer,” Aamp said in a statement.
Effective immediately, Aamp of America will integrate Precision Interface Electronics into its operations and reestablish service to customers, it said.
