Audio Advice Announces New Leadership Hires

Alex Borrero and Jim Williamson join the leadership team

Audio Advice recently announced the appointment of Alex Borrero as General Manager of Raleigh with Jim Williamson, the long-time General Manager of Raleigh moving into a new role as Chief of Staff and Systems.

“As a seasoned professional in the audio-video integration industry, Alex brings a wealth of experience and passion to his new role,” said Gregg Chopper, Audio Advice Chief Operating Officer. “Alex oversaw the rollout of multiple Magnolia Design Centers across the Southeast and has a terrific reputation. We are super excited to have Alex join our team.”

“Everyone in our industry knows that Audio Advice is an outstanding company with a level of Excellence second to none,” said Borrero. “When others were shrinking their stores, Audio Advice was taking their experience up another level. I’ve known their reputation and team for years and am incredibly excited to be a part of the team.”

Williamson has been a key figure in Audio Advice’s success for over 16 years, and the move to Chief of Staff and Systems aligns with Audio Advice’s growth strategy, focusing on technology systems, human resource development, and operational efficiency. His promotion will also support Audio Advice’s focus of targeting companies and potential employees for acquisition and assessing cultural fit.

“After having built three great audio and video locations, what motivates me the most is seeing the development of our teammates and the happiness that then brings to our customers,” said Williamson. “As we expand, it is my job to make sure our systems, processes and career paths are best in class.”

Moving forward, Jim will oversee critical initiatives such as completing our unique company-wide ERP system and developing comprehensive employee training programs to support internal growth and career paths. Additionally, he will build out the HR function to streamline hiring and talent management as Audio Advice expands into new locations.”

Audio Advice is currently preparing for Audio Advice Live which is the nation’s largest home theater show and second largest audio show, held in downtown Raleigh August 2-4th, 2024.
