DAS Holds Automotive Tech Show In Atlantic City

DAS Companies, a Pennsylvania-based distributor, manufacturer and importer of car electronics, recently concluded its annual Consumer Electronics Dealers Show in Atlantic City, N.J.

The event, held April 4-5 at the Golden Nugget, drew 12-volt dealers from throughout the region to check out the wares of more than 40 exhibitors, in addition to DAS’s own private-label line of RoadPro car electronics and accessories.

The show also featured a host of educational seminars that focused on best practices and industry trends; several show floor demo cars; plus numerous giveaways, competitions and a Harley Davidson motorcycle sweepstakes (to be awarded next month).

“Our Consumer Electronics Dealer Show is a great opportunity to strengthen business relationships and gain valuable industry knowledge over a two-day period in one location,” said DAS national sales manager Rex Berfield. “We continually strive to provide more value to our dealer partners year after year; that what’s it’s all about.”

The company, based in Palmyra, Pa., was founded 39 years ago in a flea-market booth by then 18-year-old owner David Abel. Today, Abel and his brother, president/CEO Michael Abel, employ a staff of 700 to distribute over 12,000 products out of three distribution centers in Elizabethtown, Pa., Petersburg, Va., and Salt Lake City, Utah, serving specialty dealers, convenience stores and travel centers nationwide.

DAS is also a founding sponsor of

Brittany’s Hope

, a not-for-profit foundation that facilitates adoptions of special needs children from around the world.
