AI, Robotics And Smart Living Innovations Shine At HKTDC’s Spring Tech Shows

InnoEX and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) run April 13–16, 2026

The global technology community gathered in Hong Kong today as InnoEX and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) officially opened from April 13–16, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the co-located events bring together more than 2,800 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions, showcasing the latest innovations in artificial intelligence, robotics, smart home technology, and next-generation consumer electronics.

For TWICE readers—retailers, distributors, and manufacturers—the shows offer a global sourcing platform and a forward-looking view of the technologies shaping the future of the consumer electronics industry. With AI-powered solutions and automation at the forefront, this year’s events underscore Hong Kong’s role as a vital gateway to the Asia-Pacific market and a hub for international innovation.

Held under the theme “Innovate • Automate • Elevate,” InnoEX highlights advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, smart city solutions, and digital transformation. One of the most anticipated additions is RoboPark, a newly introduced zone spanning both shows and featuring more than 100 robots designed for commercial, industrial, and real-world applications.

Among the standout exhibitors is Unitree, which is debuting its next-generation quadruped robot outside the Chinese mainland for the first time. Designed for commercial and industrial environments, the high-performance robot demonstrates advanced mobility, real-time 3D perception, and the growing practicality of robotics across industries.

Hong Kong-based Rice Robotics is also showcasing autonomous service robots capable of performing delivery, cleaning, security, and disinfection tasks. Already adopted by global enterprises such as SoftBank, 7-Eleven Japan, and Mitsui Fudosan, these solutions illustrate how automation is transforming business operations worldwide—including retail and logistics.

InnoEX features more than 550 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, with first-time participation from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, the Philippines, and the United States. The exhibition focuses on five key areas: AI+, Robotics, the Low-Altitude Economy, PropTech, and RetailTech.

The Digital Policy Office’s Smart Hong Kong Pavilion showcases AI-enabled initiatives from government agencies and innovators, while technology providers present enterprise-ready solutions for global markets. Tencent Cloud, for example, is demonstrating AI-driven tools that enable businesses to build mini-program ecosystems, reflecting the increasing convergence of cloud computing, digital services, and commerce.

Retail technology also plays a prominent role. Tradelink is presenting its Smart Trade platform, designed to streamline complex trade processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and help enterprises expand internationally—an increasingly valuable capability for global electronics suppliers and retailers.

Running concurrently, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) offers a comprehensive look at emerging consumer technology trends across three major categories: Smart Home & Solutions, Health Tech & Gadgets, and Pet Intelligence.

Approximately 60 products are making their debut at this year’s fair. Highlights include AI-enabled smart sports glasses featuring voice assistant integration, music playback, and calling capabilities, as well as compact mini PCs engineered for high-performance computing applications.

In the Smart Home segment, manufacturers are showcasing connected solutions powered by artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT). Among them is a wireless smart video door phone that enables real-time monitoring and remote access via mobile devices, enhancing convenience and security for both residential and commercial users.

As global populations age, demand for health and wellness technologies continues to accelerate. The fair’s “Smart Ageing Products” label helps buyers easily identify solutions designed to support independent living.

Featured innovations include AI-powered wearable devices capable of monitoring blood oxygen levels, heart rate, and respiratory patterns, while automatically notifying emergency contacts when abnormalities are detected. These technologies present significant opportunities for consumer electronics retailers looking to expand into high-growth health tech categories.

Another rapidly expanding category is pet technology. AI-driven products integrating sensing technology and smart home ecosystems are redefining pet care. From automated feeding systems to interactive robotic companions, these innovations highlight the growing “pet economy” and its potential as a lucrative retail segment.

The Electronics Fair features nearly 30 thematic zones, including the Hall of Fame, Startup Zone, and Immersive Experience Zone. These areas offer buyers the opportunity to explore cutting-edge products from more than 550 renowned brands and discover disruptive innovations from over 60 startups.
Interactive demonstrations powered by virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR) provide hands-on insight into emerging technologies that are shaping the future of consumer engagement and retail experiences.

More than 100 forums, seminars, and networking events are taking place throughout the four-day exhibition. These sessions bring together technology leaders, policymakers, academics, and industry experts to share insights into global market trends, human-centric AI, and the evolving digital economy.

The events are part of the broader Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BIT Week), which reinforces Hong Kong’s position as a global center for technological advancement and cross-border collaboration.

For North American retailers and suppliers, the Spring HKTDC shows provide valuable insight into the technologies and trends poised to influence the global consumer electronics market. Key takeaways include:

  • Artificial Intelligence Everywhere: AI is embedded across devices, platforms, and services.
  • Robotics Goes Mainstream: Automation is expanding into retail, logistics, and commercial environments.
  • Smart Home Innovation Accelerates: IoT-driven solutions continue to reshape modern living.
  • Health and Wellness Tech Surges: Aging populations are fueling demand for connected care solutions.
