The new sensor features an extendable sensor cable for monitoring hard-to-reach or expansive areas and supports Matter, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and local control connectivity for integration into all major smart home ecosystems, including Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings, Home Assistant, and other popular platforms.
The Shelly Flood Gen4 features a 2-meter (~6.5 feet) extendable sensor cable that offers placement flexibility and broad detection coverage. Users can link additional cables to extend coverage up to 150 meters (~500 feet), ideal for monitoring large rooms, perimeters, and multiple leak-prone zones with a single device.
Designed for use across all property types, the Shelly Flood Gen4 alerts users the moment water is detected, sending critical notifications directly to their mobile device via the Shelly app or by sounding an audible alarm. Designed for any space with plumbing or potential water intrusion, the Shelly Flood Gen4 provides essential protection for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, garages, utility closets, secondary/vacation homes, or anywhere water could cause major damage.
Beyond detection and notification, the Shelly Flood Gen4 can be paired with other Shelly devices or seamlessly integrated into expansive connected systems to unlock cost-saving automations. When paired with compatible Shelly relays or other connected solutions, this sensor can trigger automations to cut power to appliances such as dishwashers or washing machines the moment a leak is detected, preventing further damage. For even greater protection, the Shelly Flood Gen4 can be connected to smart water shut-off valves through supported platforms, automatically stopping water flow at the source the moment a leak is detected.
Equipped with multi-protocol connectivity, the Shelly Flood Gen4 is Matter-certified and supports Wi-Fi and Zigbee connectivity, in addition to full local control, ensuring integration with any connected ecosystem.
