Onkyo Expands Creator Series Beyond The Desktop With GX-AiO Systems

As Onkyo marks its 80th anniversary in 2026, the GX-AiO launch illustrates how the company is adapting its long-standing audio identity to changing consumer habits

Onkyo used CEDIA Expo 2026 to expand its Creator Series beyond the desktop, introducing three all-in-one wireless music systems designed to bring the brand’s audio heritage into more rooms throughout the home.

The new Creator GX-AiO Series includes the GX-AiO 50, GX-AiO 100 and GX-AiO 150, each combining 2.1-channel audio, a dedicated built-in subwoofer and extensive wired and wireless connectivity in a compact enclosure. The systems are designed for a range of entertainment applications, including music, television, gaming, podcasts and vinyl playback.

The introduction marks a broader direction for Onkyo’s Creator Series, which was originally developed to bring higher-quality audio to digital workspaces. With GX-AiO, Onkyo is extending that concept into living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, dorm rooms and other spaces where consumers may want better sound without the footprint or complexity of a conventional component system.

That approach is supported by a wide selection of connectivity options. Bluetooth 5.3 is joined by HDMI ARC, USB-C audio and playback, optical digital, and a switchable line/phono input, allowing the systems to connect directly to TVs, computers, smartphones, turntables and other entertainment sources.

At the heart of each GX-AiO is a true 2.1-channel architecture combining dual main drivers with a dedicated, independently amplified built-in subwoofer. Onkyo integrates the subwoofer into an acoustically optimized enclosure, incorporating the slits not only as reflectors but also as an illuminated design element of the system. Full-digital Class D amplification and advanced digital signal processing are used to minimize noise and distortion while providing efficient, high-output performance.

Onkyo has also built flexibility into how that performance is delivered. Three selectable power modes allow the systems to adapt to different rooms and listening situations. Eco Mode is intended for lower-volume listening and smaller spaces, Standard Mode balances output for everyday entertainment, and Max Mode delivers the highest available output for parties, gatherings and larger listening environments. Each uses the same 30-step volume scale while optimizing the available output range.

Consumers looking for a wider soundstage can pair two GX-AiO systems using True Wireless Stereo. Once paired, the units operate as dedicated left and right channels, increasing channel separation and allowing a single GX-AiO to evolve into a more traditional stereo setup without requiring a wired connection between the two systems.

Design is another important part of the GX-AiO proposition. Each model will be offered in black or white with a smudge-resistant textured finish and magnetic fabric grilles. The systems can be positioned vertically or horizontally, giving consumers more freedom to integrate them into different rooms and furnishings.

Integrated LED lighting around the front control ring and subwoofer ducts provides a subtle visual signature, while the Onkyo Controller app allows users to select power modes, manage inputs and personalize the lighting.

Taken together, those features point to Onkyo targeting consumers who want an upgrade in audio performance but may not be interested in assembling a traditional component system. The company is specifically positioning the Creator AiO line toward a younger generation of listeners for whom simplicity, connectivity and design are as important as sound.

“The new Creator AiO series delivers what today’s younger music lovers want: compact size, simplicity, connectivity and affordability, paired with timeless industrial design,” said Vinny Bonacorsi, chief operating officer of Onkyo. “This series represents another bold step forward in Onkyo’s evolution, bringing our passion for music to a new generation.”

Pricing also places the three models in a relatively accessible progression. The GX-AiO 50 will carry a suggested U.S. retail price of $399, the GX-AiO 100 will sell for $499 and the GX-AiO 150 will be priced at $599. All three are scheduled to arrive in fall 2026 in black and white finishes. Each system includes a remote control, power cord, HDMI cable, USB-C-to-USB-A cable and quick-start guide.

As Onkyo marks its 80th anniversary in 2026, the GX-AiO launch illustrates how the company is adapting its long-standing audio identity to changing consumer habits. Instead of requiring separate amplifiers, speakers and source components, the Creator GX-AiO Series packages amplified 2.1-channel sound, multiple source options and contemporary industrial design into a compact system intended to fit naturally into everyday living spaces.

For dealers, that combination could also broaden the conversation around premium audio, particularly with consumers who might not initially consider themselves traditional hi-fi buyers. With three price points and the ability to start with a single unit and later expand to a wireless stereo pair, GX-AiO gives Onkyo a more approachable entry point for introducing a new generation to the brand.
