Hisense has officially launched its new UltraCapacity Side-by-Side Refrigerator (model HRS290P5FSE), which is now available exclusively through Lowe’s stores and website. First introduced during CES 2025, the refrigerator stands out for its storage capacity and space-efficient design.
With a total volume of 29.1 cubic feet, the HRS290P5FSE is currently the largest refrigerator of its kind on the market. Hisense achieves this high capacity using ultra-thin insulation materials and Vacuum Insulated Panel (VIP) technology, which allows for increased internal space without enlarging the appliance’s footprint. The design includes adjustable glass shelves, gallon-sized door bins, and specialized UltraSpace drawers, all aimed at improving organization and accessibility.
One of the unit’s most distinctive features is its UltraTall Ice & Water Dispenser, which accommodates containers up to 10 inches tall, offering practicality for users with large tumblers or water bottles. The refrigerator also includes an in-door ice maker that frees up additional freezer storage.
Constructed with fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, the exterior is paired with internal all-around LED lighting for visibility. While these are standard features in higher-end models, Hisense aims to provide them at a more accessible price point.
The HRS290P5FSE is backed by a two-year warranty, which is double the coverage period offered by many competing brands. Hisense continues to position itself as a manufacturer focused on offering durable appliances with extended support.
The UltraCapacity Side-by-Side Refrigerator is available now at an MSRP of $1,699, though it is currently offered at a limited-time introductory price of $1,099. The model is sold exclusively through Lowe’s both in physical retail locations and online.
This release marks another step in Hisense’s expansion into the North American home appliance market, building on its global reputation in consumer electronics and large appliances.
