Bellevue, Wash. — T-Mobile is expanding its LTE smartphone selection with the addition of three new LG smartphones, which will also expand LG’s smartphone selection within the T-Mobile lineup.
The models include the G-series flagship G2 and the Optimus F6. Their price and availability will be announced in “the coming weeks,” T-Mobile said.
The third phone is the LG Optimus F3, positioned as the carrier’s lowest-priced LTE Android phone. It is available today at T-Mobile retail stores, select retailers and online via T-Mobile.com for a limited-time price of $0 down with 24 equal monthly device payments of $10 with T-Mobile’s Simple Choice Plan.
All three models are equipped with 4G HSPA+ and 4G LTE technology.
The G2, unveiled today by LG at an event in New York City, will also be available from the other three national carriers in the fall.
The Optimus F6 features a 4.5-inch IPS qHD 540 by 960 display, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB embedded memory with 32GB MicroSD slot, WI-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, DLNA, and 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p 30 fps video capture and back-side illumination for shooting in low light. Other features include 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi calling, nearfield communications (NFC) technology, and a host of LG features, including Time Catch Shot, which automatically captures five pictures before a final photo is taken. Voice Shutter enables users to take a picture via voice command. Smart Shutter automatically detects movement and adjusts the camera’s shutter speed to avoid a blurry image
The F6 also features such LG-exclusive features as QuickMemo, which lets users hand-write notes with their fingertip on pictures and web pages. QSlide lets users display two live apps simultaneously.
The F3 features a 4-inch 480 by 800 233 PPI IPS display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 5-megapixel rear camera with 1080p 30 fps video capture, 1GB RAM, 0.3-megapixel front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, DLNA and mobile hot spot capability. Other features include Wi-Fi Calling and well as QuickMemo and QSlide.
