Sony Adding Three More Stores

San Diego — Sony is opening three more Sony Style retail stores this week, completing the company’s planned 15-unit rollout for its current fiscal year.

The new stores are located in San Jose and San Diego, Calif., and Schaumburg, Ill.

“We planned an aggressive rollout strategy this year and met our 15-store goal while providing a memorable and rewarding customer experience,” said Mike Fasulo, Sony Electronics’ eSolutions’ president, which oversees the retail stores.

Like their predecessors, the 6,000-square-foot concept stores, replete with concierge and sales staff, carry a selection of Sony CE, IT, PlayStation and motion picture inventory, and encourage consumers to demo products and see how they work together. The stores also offer in-home delivery, financing and custom installation services.

The existing 13 stores are located in such tony locales as The forum Shops at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas; Beverly Center in Beverly Hills, Calif.; and Copley Place in Boston.
