San Francisco — Shopify, a provider of e-commerce storefronts, has added a new service through DHGate, the direct-sale platform for Chinese factories.
Under the integration deal, Shopify’s 140,000 worldwide users can purchase and manage shipping from DHGate manufacturers through the Shopify platform, with VIP members receiving an additional discount of 20 to 30 percent on average.
“We are excited to offer DHgate’s platform for buyers within the Shopify network to effectively source products,” said Noah Herschman, DHgate COO. “Our vast, high-quality selection of China-made products, low minimum orders and fast, affordable shipping will provide an unprecedented, seamless sourcing experience from China’s top manufacturers and sellers.”
The DHgate app is available in the Shopify Store at Apps.Shopify.com/DHGate.
Founded in 2004, DHgate boasts more than 5.5 million enterprise and consumer buyers from more than 200 countries who direct-source such goods as CE, cellphones and accessories, and health, beauty, fashion and bridal products. It is the second e-commerce company founded by Diane Wang, who previously developed Amazon China forerunner joyo.com.
DHGate is headquartered in Beijing and has teams and offices across the globe.
