Holiday insights abounded when Lesley Rohrbaugh, director of market research, CTA and Steven Hummel, Sr. research analysis, CTA, took the stage and revealed the top five gift categories plan U.S. adults plan on giving and buying this holiday season.

According to CTA research, 186 million U.S. adults plan to purchase tech gifts, ranked as follows:
- Laptop/Notebook Computer
- Smartphone
- Television
- Tablet
- Wearables
Surprisingly, those same adults plan on giving these top accessories:
- Headphones/Earbuds
- Mobile Device Case
- Portable Battery Charger
- Video Game Discs
- Portable Wireless Speakers
