Audio Advice has acquired Sound Components, a Miami-based audio, video, home theater, and home automation retailer that has served South Florida since 1974.
The acquisition adds another established integration firm to the Raleigh, N.C.-based retailer’s growing national footprint. Audio Advice said the move also includes plans to more than double the size of the existing South Miami showroom, giving customers expanded demonstrations of home theater, lighting, shading, audio, and video solutions.

Founded in 1978, Audio Advice has expanded its retail and integration business in recent years through acquisitions and new locations. The Sound Components deal follows the company’s acquisition of The Sound Room in St. Louis, as well as expansions into Nashville and Las Vegas.
The company said combining the two businesses will broaden its reach in home entertainment, smart home automation, and commercial AV while strengthening its presence in the South Florida market.

Sound Components will continue operating from its South Miami location with its existing staff remaining in place. In addition to the expanded showroom, customers will gain access to Audio Advice’s nationwide design resources, online tools, installation expertise, and broader portfolio of product offerings.
The acquisition further strengthens Audio Advice’s position as one of the country’s larger specialty AV retailers and custom integration firms, with locations now spanning North Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Nevada, and Florida.
