Sprint Launching LG G4 On June 5

Overland Park, Kansas – Carriers have begun announcing their rollout plans for LG’s flagship G4, with Sprint planning June 5 availability through all distribution channels.

The phone was unveiled in late April. Other carriers at post time had not yet announced pricing or availability.

Sprint priced the phone at $199 with a two-year contract, $599 without a contract, $18/month for 24 months on a Sprint Lease, and $25/month for 24 months on a Sprint EasyPay installment-payment plan.

It will be available in metallic gray and black.

For a limited time, customers purchasing Sprint’s G4 get a second 3,000mAh battery, a 32GB memory card, and a battery-charging cradle by mail from LG at a value of more than $100, the carrier said.

Under the lease and installment-payment plans, customers get the option to add a $10 early-upgrade charge, allowing them to turn in the device so they can enter into a new Sprint Lease or Sprint Easy Pay agreement after 12 consecutive payments.

Under the leasing program,  consumers can continue leasing their unsubsidized phone on a month-to-month basis after the original lease expires, opt to purchase the device, or return the device to lease or purchase a different device.

Leasing payments are lower than EasyPay payments, but under EasyPay, consumers own the phone after the last payment.

Sprint is the only carrier offering leases for unsubsidized phones, launching the program in late 2014 for the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The lease program is available through Sprint-brand stores and Best Buy. It also includes the following Android devices: Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and LG G3
