Mike Pontelle, 70, 50-Year CE Veteran Dies

Tarzana, Calif. — Mike Pontelle, a 50-year veteran of the consumer electronics industry, passed away on Jan. 22 in Woodland Hills, Calif., at the age of 70. 1/27/2014 09:56:00 AM Eastern

Tarzana, Calif. — Mike Pontelle, a 50-year veteran of the consumer electronics industry, passed away on Jan. 22 in Woodland Hills, Calif., at the age of 70.

Pontelle spent the last 20 years of his career in consumer electronics with Amplifier Technologies (ATI) in various positions, including national sales manager, and general manager of Theta Digital, according to Jeff Hipps, senior VP of ATI.

Pontelle preivously served as national sales manager for such companies as SAE, Pioneer Electronics and JBL.

He is survived by his wife Diane; son Robert and daughter-in-law Tracey Pontelle; grandchildren Joshua Philip and Aaron Michael; and sister Gloria Fettman.

At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Make A Wish Foundation in his name.
