Simplexity Appoints Rook CMO

Reston, Va. - Simplexity, a leading authorized mobile e-tailer and master agent, has named Dave Rook executive VP and chief marketing officer (CMO).Rook, who has held brand management and marketing strategy positions at AOL, Coca-Cola and the Leo Burnett advertising agency, will be responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of Simplexity's marketing initiatives, including advertising, media, marketing analysis, partner and product marketing, promotions, customer relationship management and user experience.
He will also oversee all aspects of brand marketing and management for Wirefly.com, the company's online cellphone store.
Simplexity also sells wireless products and services though thousands of private-branded websites and affiliate programs that it operates for companies including Kmart, Newegg, RadioShack, Sears, Sony, Target and TigerDirect. Its proprietary e-commerce platform provides online merchandising, rate-plan management, procurement, customer care and customer relationship marketing, billing, order processing, automated cellphone activations and fulfillment for the largest carriers in the U.S.
