Logitech Introduces 7 Web Cams

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 7/29/2009

Fremont, Calif. - Logitech introduced seven new Web cams today, all designed to work with its recently introduced Vid calling software.

The new webcams include the Pro 9000, C905, C600, C500, C300, C250 and the C200.

The Pro 9000 Web cam ($99.99 suggested retail) features Zeiss optics with autofocus; a 2-megapixel HD sensor delivering video up to 720p and snapshots at up to 8 megapixels; and the company's RightLight 2 technology, which is said to intelligently adjust to produce the best possible images in dim or backlit settings.  The C905 (also $99.99) has all of the same features as the Pro 9000 but comes in an "easy-to-transport" design.

The C250 ($39.99) and C200 ($29.99) Web cams comes with a VGA sensor and can take 1.3-megapixel snapshots.

All of the Web cams, with the exception of the C905, come with a universal clip that lets them attach to LCD monitors and notebooks. The C905 can attach to notebooks or sit on a shelf or desk with the included desktop stand, and it comes with a carrying case.

All of the products are expected to be available next month.
