D&H Sees Gaming, Home Entertainment Growth
Harrisburg, Pa. — D&H Distributing reported that its home entertainment and video gaming divisions each enjoyed significant growth in the company's fiscal year 2008, ended April 30.
The company attributed the growth to overall sales and the addition of 1,500 home entertainment dealers and 700 gaming dealers over the last fiscal year.
In other news, D&H recently announced the latest additions to its product and vendor lineup. Highlights for the second half include the Garmin Nuvi 880, ZWave home-automation products, the ZeeVee "Local Cast" device, Gefen connectivity products, Sling Media's Echostar DTVPal, HDHomeRun and Presto Services.
ADI Teams With CEDIA
Melville, N.Y. — ADI is teaming up with CEDIA to deliver business operations makeover training classes at branches across North America.
Leslie Shiner, owner of The ShinerGroup, and Sam Cavitt, founder and president of Media Environment Design, will teach the courses.
In other news, ADI hosted Outdoor Perimeter Protection Week this summer at branches across the country.
Electrograph Ships Catalog, Adds AKG
Hauppauge, N.Y. — Electrograph Systems rolled out the latest version of its catalog, now in its 20th year in print .
Electrograph has also signed on to distribute products from AKG Acoustics U.S., maker of microphones and headphones.
New Age Brings Sharp To Florida, California
Carson, Calif. — New Age Electronics has expanded its existing distribution agreement with Sharp. It will now distribute Sharp LCD televisions, Blu-ray Disc players and audio/video components in the California and Florida markets.
DBL 'Opens House'
Scottsdale, Ariz. — DBL Distributing held an open house to showcase its new location in Jonestown, Pa., last month, and will hold a second event Sept. 19, replete with ribbon-cutting ceremonies and tours, to formally open its Mira Loma, Calif., facility.
Separately, DBL recently offered 2,800 current customers an extension of $58.5 million in credit
In other news, DBL added the Novint Falcon game controller to its spate of product offerings.
EDGE Expands Lineup, Members Sponsor Individual Activities
Seattle — The EDGE Distributors Group recently announced distribution agreements for Wi-Ex's zBoost series of cellular phone signal boosters, Cooper Wiring Devices and Straight Wire products.
In other news, Necessities, EDGE's New England member, recently held a Planar/Gefen/Cooper wiring devices training event. Also, Bright Star Distributing, Edge's member serving the Illinois/Wisconsin markets, recently hosted a two-day dealer show.

Edmond, Okla. — Petra Industries is now offering audio products from Pyles Audio and Atrend.
SED Now Carrying CyberPower
Atlanta —SED International is now an authorized distributor of CyberPower Systems' power products.
AVAD Deems Dealer Event Successful
Van Nuys, Calif. — AVAD hosted its first Vend-O-Palooza, a one-day dealer event, at its branch in Elk Grove Village, Ill., last month. The group said that due to the success of this event it plans to roll out similar Vend-O-Paloozas at 10 to 15 other branches nationwide in coming months.
