West Palm Beach, FL – April 16, 2025 – At this year’s IWCE show (4/15-16) in West Palm Beach, FL, smart motorized window shades control brand Bond once again had a huge presence. The brand launched Mate, its water-resistant hand-held universal remote-control for the outdoors, had products on display at 20 partner exhibits, and hosted and participated in key motorization seminars.
Introducing Mate, Bond’s First Hand-Held Remote-Control for the Outdoors
Mate™ is a water-resistant, 15-channel hand-held remote that brings smart individual, multi-group, and schedule control to motorized pergolas, awnings, shutters, and screens – and all without requiring the use of a bridge.
With Mate users can turn the appliances on-and-off, set positions (including favorites), configure individual and multi-group control, and assign personalized names to the channels.
Once setup, Mate becomes smart, aware of time and able to set adaptive schedules. With an MSRP of $289, Mate is set to ship June 2025.

Bond is in a Position of Strength
The Bond Bridge Pro RF-to-WiFi bridge is compatible with dozens of shade motor brands and home automation systems. These past several years it has earned recognition as the window fashion channel’s leading way to control and automate motorized window treatments, gas fireplaces, and ceiling fans. And this past year the brand expanded into the outdoors by way of innovative solutions and partnerships.
“Bond went into IWCE 2025 in an extraordinarily strong position, sought after by manufacturers globally. We have also now expanded into large-scale commercial and MDU installations by way of our partnership with Mecho. We are thrilled that so many trade professionals and manufacturers visited both our exhibit — and those of our partners — to experience the latest from Bond,” says Bond Director of Sales & Strategic Partnerships, Daria Fox.
