RadioShack Loses CMO

UPDATE! Fort Worth, Texas — RadioShack chief marketing officer Jennifer Warren, who gained attention for the chain with a pair of high-profile commercials, has left after less than two years on the job.

The senior VP resigned her post to assume the CMO slot at At Home, a home decor chain with 81 superstores in 21 states.

Her departure marks RadioShack’s second senior management change in a week, following the replacement of interim chief financial officer Holly Etlin by FTI Consulting director Carlin Adrianopoli.

Warren was an early member of CEO Joe Magnacca’s dream team of top lieutenants. During her brief tenure she helped put the retailer back on the public’s radar by creating a cheeky persona for the chain.

Her approach was exemplified by a pair of high-profile TV spots: Robin Thicke’s provocative “Blurred Lines” variation for Beats, and the acclaimed Super Bowl XLVIII commercial that brought back1980s icons Mary Lou Retton, Hulk Hogan and Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider to underscore recent revamps at RadioShack.
