The newly-born HTSN buying group is off and running this month following a successful debut in August.
The dealer organization, which stands for Home Technology Specialists of Nationwide, is the CE/CI specialty wing of the Nationwide Marketing Group, and had its first formal gathering at Nationwide’s PrimeTime convention in Las Vegas.
There, the new chapter, which is a joint effort with the Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA), formed a dealer advisory board to help set its strategy and focus, and welcomed seven new retail members and four vendor partners.
“TiO, IC Realtime, CinemaTech and Vutec are now part of the HTSN vendor list, as the group continues to partner with vendors that will improve the mix of [our] specialty electronics retailers,” said HTSN director Hank Alexander.
This month, HTSN, along with Nationwide’s PrimeMedia TV and video production arm, will be attending HTSA’s fall conference in Chicago (Sept. 15-17) to discuss their mutual multimedia needs.
Next month, HTSN and its progenitor will join forces again, this time at CEDIA Expo 2015 in Dallas to co-host an opening-night cocktail reception on Oct. 14.
