New York – A trio of national and regional distributors – Wynit, Ultimate Integration and Custom Plus Distributing – have opened their doors and hit the road this summer for a series of special events.
Wynit, a national distributor of CE, imaging, security and outdoor leisure products based in North Syracuse, N.Y., is attending this week’s Outdoor Retailer Summer Market trade show at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
There, the company, together with vendor partner Blast Motion, will introduce the Blast ActionCam, a video camera attachment that allows users to capture metrics like height, acceleration, rotation and hang time, and overlay them on action footage.
“Capturing action footage has become very popular over the past couple of years,” said Wynit business development manager Paul Hosner. “Being able to merge metrics and video using the Blast ActionCam is going to completely revolutionize the way that athletes and outdoor enthusiasts compete and enjoy their performance. We can’t wait to show off this technology to our customers.”
Elsewhere, consumer and specialty electronics distributor Ultimate Integration, a member of the PowerHouse Alliance distributor confederation, marked its second anniversary – and the opening of its new Long Island facility in Hauppauge, N.Y. – with an open house and barbecue at its Clifton, N.J. headquarters last week.
The event drew 80 New York metro-area dealers and 25 manufacturers who showcased their fall lines.

Meanwhile, Custom Plus Distributing (CPD), a Northwest car and home electronics distributor and a founding member of the Catalyst AV consortium of CE distributors, will celebrate the grand opening of its fourth location, in San Jose, Calif., on Aug. 19.
Together with its sister rep firm Oliver Marketing, CPD will welcome local integrators and dealers to the new warehouse and showroom, where staff will conduct tours; offer demos, limited-time promotions and prize drawings; and provide food and refreshments.
