Cerno, Lutron Deepen Collaboration On Integrated Lighting

Expanded fixture lineup targets seamless control and specification

Cerno has joined Lutron’s Native by Design program, becoming one of the first decorative lighting manufacturers to integrate with the platform’s LED ecosystem.

Announced in April, the partnership brings together Cerno’s fixture design with Lutron’s lighting control technologies, aiming to streamline specification and performance across residential and architectural projects. Cerno operates three lighting brands—Cerno, Revelite, and Siemon & Salazar—focused on handcrafted fixtures and materials.

Native by Design fixtures are engineered to work directly with Lutron’s control systems, allowing integrators and designers to deploy lighting that is preconfigured for compatibility. The program incorporates Lutron’s broader portfolio of intelligent lighting technologies, including Ketra, Rania, and Lumaris, which support tunable white light, dimming, and color control.

“Our two companies came together organically through a shared passion for beautiful, high-quality performance lighting—and a mutual belief that the best products come from pushing what’s technically and creatively possible,” said Bret Englander, co-founder and director of sales and marketing at Cerno. “We are honored by Lutron’s trust in Cerno, and fully committed to delivering on that promise.”

Cerno’s involvement in the program builds on earlier collaboration with Lutron. The company introduced its first Native by Design-compatible product, the Cerno Art Light with Ketra, in the previous year. It has since expanded the lineup to include 12 fixtures, spanning pendants, sconces, floor and table lamps, and linear lighting formats. Additional products are expected to be released in the coming months.

Both companies position the partnership as a way to simplify integration while expanding creative flexibility for lighting designers and custom integrators. By combining fixture design and control at the platform level, the approach is intended to reduce compatibility challenges typically associated with multi-vendor lighting systems.

Cerno said its focus on handcrafted construction paired with Lutron’s tunable LED technologies enables a more unified lighting system across residential environments.
