At Lightapalooza 2026 Award-Winning Firm Lighthouse Design Studio Aims to Help Custom Integrators and Designers Elevate Their Outdoor Lighting Game

At Lightapalooza 2026, custom integrators can benefit from Lighthouse Design Studio’s CEDIA CEU sessions on outdoor lighting design and installation and meet the Lighthouse team at stand #444.

Experts from this luxury estate landscape and architectural lighting systems design, specification, and installation firm will host a booth exhibit, and present CEDIA CEU landscape lighting design and installation seminars and sales rep / dealer trainings.

Round Rock, TX – February 2, 2026 – Award-winning luxury estate landscape and architectural lighting design firm Lighthouse Design Studio is bringing their expertise to Lightapalooza 2026. The firm will host an exhibition (stand # 444) on the show floor, and its Executive Director / Principal Designer Tim Ryan will present his CEDIA CEU outdoor lighting design and installation seminars along with a rep/dealer training session on the services the firm offers.

Tim Ryan is an industry recognized leading design expert in outdoor lighting. Under his direction this past decade, Lighthouse has amassed over thirty-five awards from leading design and engineering organizations. Ryan is active in many educational organizations including the International Landscape Lighting Institute (Board Member, Lead Mentor, Lecturer), the Illumination Engineering Society (Technical Advisory Committee Member, Landscape Lighting) and the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (Board Member, Lecturer). He is also currently assisting in creating Dark-Sky lighting standards for municipalities. The Critical 5 of Landscape Lighting Design will be presented on Tuesday, February 17 from 3:30 -5:00 PM in Kalahari Salon H. This course covers both the art and science of landscape lighting, teaching participants how to create impactful outdoor scenes rather than just illuminating objects. Inspired by theatrical design, it emphasizes purposeful use of color, intensity, and direction, avoiding “fixture fixation.” Students will learn systematic methods for lighting trees, architecture, and hardscapes, understand the four key phases of the design process, and gain tools for communicating value and overcoming sales challenges.

The Critical 5 of Landscape Lighting Installation will be presented on Wednesday, February 18, from 1:00 – 2:30 PM in Banyan. This course covers 5 key aspects of professional landscape lighting installation, equipping participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to create efficient, dependable, and high-performing systems. Topics addressed include optimized installation workflows, power management and system design, industry standards for cables and connections, fixture placement and pre-aiming strategies, and thorough documentation for long-term serviceability. By integrating technical proficiency with real-world applications, this program enables contractors and designers to enhance their expertise and provide clients with robust, aesthetically pleasing lighting solutions. Each of the sessions earns integrators with CEDIA Certification 1 CEDIA CEU per course. (Information on the show and its sessions here: www.lightapalooza.com)

Additionally, on Wednesday February 18, from 8 -9 AM in the Kalahari Salon B, Ryan will conduct a sales rep and dealer training session titled: How to Accomplish Astounding Six-Figure Outdoor Lighting Projects from Start to Finish Without Burdening Your Operation. This session walks participants through the best way to accomplish six-figure outdoor lighting projects – that will impress their biggest clients – without burdening their operations.

These sessions are especially worthwhile as recent studies show that while 75% of integrators forecast up to 25% growth in outdoor living revenues, only 11% successfully include it in their projects, as many lack the expertise to expand and close these opportunities. For integrators to be successful it is necessary to understand outdoor lighting and they can benefit from Ryan’s expertise, relevant insights, and case studies.
