Almo Celebrates 10th Anniversary at 2019 InfoComm

Named 2019 rAVe Readers’ Choice Best Distributor for 8th year in a row

Almo Professional A/V celebrated its aluminum (10th) anniversary surrounded by AV community members at 2019 InfoComm, a festive cake and some of the best presents a distributor could ask for – industry awards.

“A decade ago, we came to InfoComm to announce the formation of a new distribution company, created to elevate the role and the value of the distributor in the Pro AV chain,” said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO for Almo Professional A/V in a statement. “We had zero inventory, zero customers and an enormous dream. Today, we stand proud with $500M in revenue, well over 100 employees, 6,000+ customers and 40 key vendor partnerships, some of which are exclusive to Almo. We are proud to have a fleet of 16 Business Development Managers on hand to provide specialized product knowledge and technical expertise, and we offer many revenue-generating services to help our partners continue to grow and profit.”

Almo Professional A/V was named 2019 rAVe Readers’ Choice Best Distributor for the eighth year in a row, and Almo’s traveling E4 Experience was awarded a 2019 Commercial Integrator BEST in the category of Training, Consulting & Publications/Business Services.

“It is a privilege to be voted the rAVe Readers’ Choice Best Distributor by the industry again and to have the E4 Experience earn another CI BEST award,” stated Melody Craigmyle, vice president of marketing and communication, Almo Corporation. “Our goal in aligning with AVIXA on the E4s is to travel to major cities where our partners are located to bring them free, high quality education. We look forward to bringing the E4 Experience to the New York Metro area on September 25 and Atlanta on October 15 where attendees will have access to many of the products that debuted on the InfoComm show floor.”

Not content to just receive for their anniversary, Almo presented a donation check to the Michael Vergauwen scholarship program during InfoComm.

“We feel that it’s absolutely critical to give back to our industry by investing in the next generation of AV professionals,” commented Taylor, “which is why we donate to the Michael Vergauwen scholarship program each year. In making these donations, our hope is that the pool of talent and the career opportunities for those looking to pursue a career in AV continue to flourish and benefit our industry.”

Almo Professional A/V is a division of Almo Corp., an independent distributor of consumer electronics, major appliances, furniture and housewares. In addition to distribution services, Almo provides product integration, training and education, managed services and technical support.
