Voxx Supporting Code Alarm Remote Start With Promo, New Dealer Agreements

Voxx Electronics is supporting the launch of its new Code Alarm remote-start lineup with a six-month-long promotion for both dealers and consumers.

It is also crafting new dealer agreements that contain a zero-tolerance policy for online selling of the line.

Every new Code Alarm 5 Series kit and component-based system sold after Sept. 1 by an authorized dealer is eligible for inclusion in the promo. To enter, dealers will log the sale into the contest website, giving both the consumer and the retailer a chance to win one of three prizes: a 2017 Yamaha YXZ1000R Side by Side Sport (a $19,999 retail value), a Klipsch Gallery G-28 home theater ($2,949 retail value), or a Klipsch RSB-14 soundbar and wireless subwoofer ($699 retail value).

The program runs through Feb. 28, 2018.

“We believe the new Code Alarm lineup of security and remote-start systems are the best in class and offer the dealer and consumer a tremendous value. We also know that remote-start season is an enormous second-half profit driver for many 12-volt retailers in our industry,” said Aron Demers, Voxx Electronics senior VP, in a statement. “The floor salespeople and installers on the front line are the driving force, and we wanted to reward them with a cool and unique promotion. … The salespeople and installers are the key contributors that keep the mobile electronics industry strong and vibrant.”

Voxx’s new 5-series of Code Alarm devices will make a formal debut at the Mobile Electronics Association KnowledgeFest trade show, held Aug. 11-14 in Dallas. The lineup includes two vehicle security system kits, two remote-start system kits, and one remote start with keyless entry kit.

The new component program — which consists of security, remote start, or security with remote start —is designed to include everything a dealer needs to install, except for the method to control it. The dealer can then choose from multiple transmitter kits and/or smartphone control options.

Voxx, which recently combined its vehicle groups, is readying new in-store merchandising and display programs for the lineup, noting that the company has completely overhauled the distribution of Code Alarm from coast-to-coast. It is also implementing new dealer agreements with zero-tolerance Internet selling “to protect our dealer’s installation and profitability,” said the company.
