Las Vegas — Misfit has teamed with crystal jewelry supplier Swarovski to debut a line that includes “the world’s first solar-powered wearable.”
The Swarovski Shine collection includes two new wearable devices and nine accessory SKUs, developed and designed jointly by both companies.
The line combines Swarovski’s signature crystals and Misfit’s wireless activity and sleep tracking technology in two fully waterproof wearables, a clear Swarovski Shine with a crystal face and a violet Swarovski Shine which uses a patented “energy crystal” technology to allow for efficient solar charging on a small surface to power itself, the companies said in a joint statement.
Both designs feature a large faceted crystal integrated into Misfit’s hardware, and automatically track steps, distance, calories burned, and sleep quality and duration.
The collection is now available for preorder in the U.S. exclusively on misfit.com and will be for sale this spring in Swarovski retail locations in the U.S., Hong Kong and China, and on Swarovski.com.
