Sennheiser launched a portable microphone for use with the GoPro Hero4 action cam as part of its participation in the GoPro developer program.
The GoPro-verified MKE 2 Elements features a windproof and waterproof design designed to withstand harsh environments. Based on a pro Sennheiser miniature microphone design, it has an elastic suspension cutting out structure-borne noise, said the company.
The mic comes with a robust dedicated back cover for the Hero4 meant to ensure seamless operation and a solid connection with the camera housing. A special foam windshield adds additional wind-noise reduction, even when wet.
It will be available April 24 for a $199 suggested retail.
