Why The Soundcore AeroFit 2 Might Be My New Everyday Earbuds

Open-ear earbuds deliver surprisingly rich and full audio

I recently had the chance to try out the new Soundcore AeroFit 2, and I have to say—I was genuinely impressed. I’ve tried a lot of earbuds over the years, but these stood out for a few reasons: comfort, sound quality, and some really smart features that make them incredibly versatile for everyday use.

The first thing that caught my attention was the fit. These are open-ear earbuds, which typically don’t seal in sound the way in-ear buds do, but Soundcore clearly put a lot of thought into the design. The rotatable earhooks are flexible and adapt easily to different ear shapes. I didn’t need to fiddle around to get a secure fit—it just worked.

The bean-shaped design is comfortable and feels well-balanced, even after extended wear. I wore them for several hours at a time and completely forgot they were there. Plus, they’re made with soft liquid silicone, which is gentle on the skin. As someone who wears glasses regularly, I appreciated how the design didn’t interfere with or create any pressure behind my ears.

I also really appreciated the fact that the AeroFit 2 comes in a few color choices to match distinctive styles. You can choose from White, Black, Minty Green, and Abyss Blue—a nice touch if you want something other than the typical black or white earbuds.

In terms of sound, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from an open-ear style. But I was wrong. The AeroFit 2 delivered surprisingly rich and full audio. The bass is punchy, and the highs are clear without being sharp. You still get ambient awareness—perfect if you’re out for a walk or working in a shared space—but the directional sound system helps minimize leakage. So even though others around me could see I had earbuds on, they couldn’t hear what I was listening to. The sound quality rivals many in-ear models I’ve tried, which was a pleasant surprise.

Battery life is another major win. On a full charge, I got around 10 hours of use, and the case holds an additional 32 hours, giving a total of 42 hours of playtime. One feature I really loved was the fast charging—just 10 minutes plugged in gives you 4 hours of playback. That’s a lifesaver when you’re in a rush and realize your earbuds are dead. They also support wireless charging, which just adds another layer of convenience.

One feature that isn’t available just yet but has made me really intrigued is the AI-powered real-time translation. It’s launching in March 2025 and will support over 100 languages with about 97% accuracy. That’s going to be a huge bonus for frequent travelers, business professionals, or even just folks who love exploring new cultures. The idea of being able to communicate face-to-face in real time using just your earbuds is pretty exciting.

There’s also a great mix of tech under the hood: Bluetooth 5.4, IP55 water and dust resistance, four built-in mics, and touch controls. Everything integrates smoothly with the Soundcore app, too, so you can tweak settings and manage your audio experience easily.

At $99.99, the AeroFit 2 offers a ton of value. It’s a comfortable, great-sounding, and future-ready product that’s well worth the price. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to in-ear buds, especially if you want something you can wear all day without fatigue. Whether you’re working out, commuting, or just want a more open and comfortable listening experience, this one checks all the boxes—and looks great doing it.
