Fremont, Calif. — Projector manufacturer Optoma said Monday it has acquired California-based premium consumer audio maker NuForce. Optoma said it plans to show and demonstrate an expanded NuForce product line at the 2015 International CES in the Venetian Tower, suite 29-331.
With the NuForce acquisition, Optoma and NuForce customers will have access to a streamlined system offering “pristine video with audiophile grade sound,” the company said.
“Optoma has been at the forefront of home entertainment and high performing display innovation for nearly two decades and audio is the logical progression for us,” said Jon Grodem, Optoma product management senior director. “By acquiring NuForce, we are very excited and confident that we will now be able to complete the experience with the addition of superb audio.”
Optoma said the NuForce product range will comprise home cinema audio products that complement Optoma’s home projectors and wireless streaming systems.
The range will also include NuForce’s digital amplifier and DAC products.
Product details on the new Optoma NuForce sound range will be announced at CES, the company said.
