Nest has begun selling third-party smart-home products directly from its online store for the first time.
All of the products carry the Works with Nest designation, and Nest has initially selected just five out of the 100-plus such devices available. The company noted it will continue to update its selection.
Current available products include:
*LIFX Color 1000 Wi-Fi smart bulbs (two-pack starter kit, $99.98);
*Philips Hue A19 starter kit ($199);
*Rachio smart sprinkler controller ($249);
*SkyBell HD Wi-Fi video doorbell ($199); and
*WeMo switch ($39.99).
